About Us

Our story

Born in the mountain's embers

Our forge sits in Gramado, in the heart of the Serra Gaúcha, in the far south of Brazil — a land of cold mornings, araucaria pines, and a scent of woodsmoke that never leaves the workshop. It's here, between the mountain and the fire, that every knife begins to exist.

It was in this region that generations of European immigrants, German and Italian, planted a tradition of working metal with patience and care. From that heritage came our way of forging: unhurried, one piece at a time, from the first hammer blow to the final pass of the edge.

Why here, in the south

A good knife has never been just a tool. It's a companion of the everyday — from the open fire to the barbecue, from the field to the table. It's inherited, cared for, and passed down. That respect for the working blade shaped everything we do.

This corner of Brazil carries a soul of craft and detail. We bring that same standard into the forge: real steel, hand finishing, and nothing that leaves here before it's exactly right.

Freshly forged collection pieces resting on the anvil before the glowing furnace
Every piece is born before the fire, at the forge bench.

How each knife is made

From the block of steel to the finished piece, every step passes through our hands:

  1. Choosing the steel. We select the right steel for each blade — where it all begins.
  2. The fire. We heat the metal in the embers to the exact working point.
  3. The anvil. We shape the blade blow by blow, giving the steel form and character.
  4. The edge. We hone it to the factory edge that became our signature.
  5. The resin handle. Each handle is cast by hand and holds a small treasure sealed in resin — a lure, a horseshoe, a cartridge.
  6. Hand finishing. Fitting, polishing, and engraving, in whatever time the piece asks for. That's why no two knives are ever alike.

What we carry in every blade

Every blade carries a story etched into the steel: mountains, horses, eagles, the field, and freedom. It's not just a design — it's a way of saying where the piece comes from and who it was made for.
